IRC user nutrix posted this comment on getting OSMP through Miro
Hi there! Being a big fan of OSM Podcast, I was thinking about a simple way
to getting it updates under the "same roof" as other similar
audio/video podcasts. I've been trying out Miro for a while now
and my first thought was that i could find OSMP through the "search audio"
or appropiate "genres" choices. No luck in my case.
Instead copying the rss feed link <http://opensourcemusician.libsyn.com/rss>
then in Miro (2.5.3) choosing "Sidepanel" > Add channel > Audio + paste.
That did it !
Thought this tip might help some of your listensers.
Thanks for a relaxed yet serious podcast!!!
NUTRIX
IRC user Trece8 brought this to my attention. And I thought it would be an interesting topic to discuss
Q: Is it true that recordings back in the 60's and 70's were about perfection in imperfection and more
about the vibe and the moment... Are we too obsessed with perfection in modern day recordings?
Listen to Led Zepplin's version of "Babe I'm going to leave you" at the 1min30 to the 1min50... something
happens - plant gets lost in this verse and you can tell hes just filling time: oh yeah, baby baby i will
something, really n got to ramble ... you can hear the guitar even starts to lose the plot because they aren't
sure if plant is going to recover, then in the background you hear a studio engineer shout out to Plant
presumably the next line in the song. Plant is now back on track and so is the band for the rest of the song.
